I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN
I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START
SO I'LL START FROM WITHIN
AND BEGIN WITH MY HEART
I THOUGHT YOU WERE A DREAM
BUT THE CLOSER I GOT TO YOU
THE LESS IT ALL SEEMED
WE HAD OUR FEELINGS
THAT WE SHARED
AND YOU JUST FLUNG
AWAY WITHOUT A CARE
I CAN'T BELIEVE I TRUSTED YOU
AND IT'S SOMETHING I CAN'T DO
EVEN IF I WANTED TOO
I THOUGHT YOU WERE MINE
BUT IT WAS TO LATE
MY HEART IS BROKE IN-TWO
BUT THAT'S MY MISTAKE
YOU NEVER TAKE
THE TIME TO CALL
MAYBE MY FEELINGS
NEVER MATTERED AT ALL
I'VE TAKEN THE TIME TO KNOW
THAT A NEW DOOR IS GOING TO OPEN
BECAUSE YOUR DOOR IS CLOSED
THOUGH I HURT FOR TOO LONG
THE PAST IS THE PAST
NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY
THIS RELATIONSHIP WILL NEVER LAST
I GAVE YOU MY HEART
AND ALL YOU DID WAS TEAR IT APART
I WAS BETTER OFF WITHOUT YOU
I KNEW IT FROM THE START

Longing for that certain someone while your mind does backflips wondering if they are thinking about you or not or if they just discarded you like a piece of trash. I enjoyed this.

One of the hardest things to endure, much less write about. Very nice poem and the emotion comes through.
