Someone once told me
Everything's rewarded
According to the deserts
So you just gotta work hard
And never ask of anytihin'
Cos it will come by itself.
I worked nonstop
Tried so hard to be liked by everyone
But only the award didn't hasten to appear
On my threshold,
Maybe, it's just because all my life
I've been tryin' to be anyone else but me.
And then I've told to myself,
That I should change something,
Cos...
You never gonna be anybody else
You never gonna see until you see yourself,
Cos the people sees the only issues,
Changin' anythin' around but themselves,
So why to live without your own soul
If you're tryin' to be anyone but yourself
Cos you ain't ever lived
If you ain't ever been yourself.
One mornin' I've just woken up,
And seen that something's missed,
This girl in a mirror is not me anymore,
Because she hides behind a mask,
Created from her own illusions
As she followed advices of the people
And lost herself in the crowd.
And then I've told to myself,
That I should change something,
Cos...
You never gonna be anybody else
You never gonna see until you see yourself,
Cos the people sees the only issues,
Changin' anythin' around but themselves,
So why to live without your own soul
If you're tryin' to be anyone but yourself
But you ain't ever lived
If you ain't ever been yourself.
One day I'll look back at my life,
And I'll know it was pretty good,
Cos I always did everything I could,
But nevertheless it wasn't enough,
Because I never lived my own life,
Trying so hard to be anybody else.
And then I've told to myself,
