I turn to see your perfect to me silhouette

I turn to see your perfect to me silhouette But only a shell, a mask surprised I find in-between My heart and wherever you are hiding in yourself behind
Smiling from your mouth empty words like bees Once green-silver tree leaves, light and sun-lit lanterns Now sharp and carefully away them before they politely sting
Your autumn eyes a friend at some great distance waving Greeting a shallow depth, a lightness crushing Lovely oak brown blinking your far off retreating offensive
A barricade wall strong conversation friendly enough to be Some solitary hospitality, an abandoning ambush Standing together alone I search in your smile for my you
Your voice I heard across a far crisp field saying Love Words across a crowded room, a crowded heart pushed past me Lips mismatching motion of your untimed voice arrive so too late
On a train platform night I look down dark tracks abandoned hoping Your arrival would mean brightest light and loudest noise triumphant But flowers in hand, a starry winter breeze chills me and I wait.

Some vivid images captured in this piece.
I particularly liked the description of looking down "dark tracks"
Nice.
