I knew it was getting late
But I still had time to look at the stars
They were shining bright
As I lay my head upon my pillow
My mind was at peace
I fell asleep
Later that night I was woken by a breeze
And when I sat up I was amazed
Everyone I told
Just say I must have been dreaming
But I know that's not the case
In my mind
I replay all I saw
I still don't know why she came to me
An angel
Flew down from the sky last night
I swear I saw an angel
She was dressed in white
She smiled, held out her hand
I didn't understand
The angel
I saw last night
The memory will stay with me forever
I know I will never forget
