Ive wanted so long to be in your arms,
To feel that Im safe and secure from harm,
So why does it hurt when you say things to me,
That are intended as jokes, I really dont see.
Why do you hurt me with the things that you say,
You say that youlove me, so why treat me this way,
Im too sensitive, I know thats true,
it hurts when you say the things that you do.
I love you with all of my soul and my heart,
And it hurts deep inside when we are apart,
I want to be with you for the rest of my days,
But I really cant handle the things that you say.
I know this is something I have to work through,
I really do love you, you know that its true,
So please be patient, it could take a while
Before I can ignore it and sit there and smile.

| Know this dilemma well,very difficult when you are very sensitive, having said that if what someone is saying is hurtful then maybe they need to use a little more sensitivity difficult to get the balance but hope you do,well written |

| yes it is hard to get balance right, was written about a situation a friend of mine was in at the time. My belief is, if you hurt someone with words then really its not love. |

nice write. good question,lot's of the time
i think things are said in the heat of
the moment, things we would not say when
a relationship is new,i have said, things
that have hurt, and had things said to me
that have hurt.
It's perhaps sometime a frustration builds
up, and we just say things,always best
to tell the person it hurts, well i think
so, we should not do it but we do.
But you mention Joke, well a Joke
is only funny if the other person
thinks so,if a Joke hurts it's not funny
at all.
Also i guess, we spend much time
with the person we love, so i guess
they see both our good and bad.
But a Joke ain't Funny if it Hurts.
not Funny at all.
