Gon' Tell The World

Let this be our greatest secret,
Which so dangerously to know,
Cos I'm not ready yet,
To tell the world,
About the way you hold my hand,
Also about the way I'm into
The same kinda music you like.
I won't tell anybody bout you,
And the way that the pieces of me
Do belong to only you.

But the time will come,
And I'm gon' tell the world,
About you as the best part of me,
I'm gon' tell the world
About the way I cannot sleep,
If I'm fallin' asleep alone.
I'm gon' tell the world
That my heart got wrapped
Around your fingers, baby.
I'm gon' tell the world about it,
I'm gon' tell the world about it.

I don't need a bump of the boys
To know that you're the only one
That I really need, honey.
I don't need a thousand words,
To express well how I feel.
Cos, baby, it's written on my face,
And when you look me in the eyes,
You can see it as clear as the day,
Got shone with the light of your sun.
But nobody knows,
Nobody knows,
Nobody knows about it,
Quiet as I do, love.

But the time will come,
And I'm gon' tell the world,
About you as the best part of me,
I'm gon' tell the world
About the way I cannot sleep,
If I'm fallin' asleep alone.
I'm gon' tell the world
That my heart got wrapped
Around your fingers, baby.
I'm gon' tell the world about it,
I'm gon' tell the world about it.

I won't let this feeling flow,
I'mma let it in and close the door,
I'mma keep it safe in my hands,
From the other people eyes,
And you will be my greatest secret,
Until I won't unclench my fist, hon'
And the truth will slip from my hand
As the black butterflies.

But the time will come,
And I'm gon' tell the world,
About you as the best part of me,
I'm gon' tell the world
About the way I cannot sleep,
If I'm fallin' asleep alone.
I'm gon' tell the world
That my heart got wrapped
Around your fingers, baby.
I'm gon' tell the world about it,
I'm gon' tell the world about it.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
