An apprentice of swallows

Contributed by allain on Thursday, 1st August 2002 @ 09:38:13 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Thus it has been said swallows come back in spring
To seek new loves and fill their hearts unburnt desires..
I hear them in the trees chirping in Sonatas.
I love to listen to their love melodies
As they leap from twig to branch

Inside me my heart leaps too when I remember you.
Because you see I need your smile, voice, and touch.
I need you wordlessly like earth, water, air, and fire
I need the clarity and transparency of your eyes
I need the spring symphony you bring out from within me

For this reason I follow the esoteric teachings of swallows
I find myself a disciple among them.
An apprentice of their love songs
The fire to find myself in your favor my beloved!

Close your eyes my love and listen to me.
Be silent and wait for the wind to carry my song
Change your course my love.
Love me!
Love me as spring awaits swallows.

Wonderful. I sit in my garden of an evening and watch the swallows dancing in the air.
Reminds me of something I read once too
"If you love something, set it free.
if it comes back to you, then it's yours.

enjoyed this so much!

Beautiful and so right. Sometimes if you don't watch out your love for someone goes stale. Revival is always good.:)
