Away with Words

Contributed by spike on Wednesday, 10th March 2010 @ 04:44:59 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I peak out from between the lines,
looking for the tell-tale signs
of sweet enrapture in your eyes
and maybe, just one sigh

Ill wear you down with soft, soft teasing
hypnotic rhythms and subtle phrasing;
Ill have your heart, and more I reckon
as my sinuous lines irresistibly beckon

For I have no key to pick your locks
nor lyre to swoon you onto rocks;
just a voice to say your name
and verse to lay you low

Truth is,

its not a web of words Im spinning
or a trap to snare your heart;
but a bed of love song,
the covers pulled back,
for your beauty.
