Poem of My Life

Contributed by JakerBaker88 on Monday, 15th March 2010 @ 10:28:11 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Silence overwhelms me,
Pulling me in two.
Yearning for sound,
I scream!
My voice sends shockwaves,
And ripples of noise through the air----
Yet, all remains mute.
Despite my tantrum,
The world continues to march on
Ignoring my existence.

Sounding off for help yet ears are deaf or pretend to be making you feel even more lonely when that didn't seem possible. I like this write as I can relate at times. Well written.

take care

Really well executed......
This reminds me of a recurring dream I used to have. I would be looking at my
life being played out in front of me, but I was stuck behind a thick glass window
just banging and banging at the glass trying to be noticed by someone - anyone. It can make you very angry.
A powerful and passionate piece x

Isn't it so ironic how a person can feel so alone in a world full of people. Good one.

Don't feel that way!

Everything you do changes the world around you.

Very strong poem capturing the anguish of not being heard and feeling dispensible and insignificant, well written
