When I go for an evening walk on
The roads of my city, I often muse
Whether this city is a cup of poison
Thrust by the fate into my hands!
~*~
At midnight, half asleep I muse: the city
Is a giantess, from whose breasts millions
Of people after drinking her poisonous milk
Sleeping in her lap like satiated reptiles,
While lusty demons hurried on her body
Feeling her curves and contours, ups and
Downs cruelly molest her historic beauty!
~*~
Before the day break the city, covered with
Bruises all over the roads of her buxom body
With bloody marks and frozen tears on her
Cheeks, like a poor hapless beggar child
She sleeps on the way side, without caring
Whether the Sun rises in the East or not!
