Topic: obsession

Look at me just sitting here
And all you say is you want to be like me
Get out in that big, wide world
Get a life, instead of saying what you could be
Yes, I dreamed as a kid
But follow up those dreams I never did

I must make you understand
That being like me is not good for someone so young
At your age, all you should do is wake up
And everyday can be fun
But when you're old like me
Fear is the only thing you see

Be like me?
I really think you should look elsewhere
It's only because I truly care
I won't tell a lie
So leave before I break down and cry
I don't mean to hurt you
But what I say is very true

Be like me and you won't go far
You're better off being like your Pa
I was once young like you
Always saying what I'd like to do
So here I am speaking from my heart
One's bad enough, don't make it two
