I could not portray my feelings,
in a way that you could fully
comprehend how much you meant to me.
Over a year I waited and you knew
but you reacted as it was only
a week. Maybe you got tired.
At first you shone in the spotlight.
Enjoyed the recognition, the attention.
You stopped all of a sudden. Maybe already immune.
I humiliated you unintentionally, but with feelings.
I did it to tell you how I felt
but fate had different plans.
How did you not see what I did
to impress you, to improve myself?
How did you blindly caress my feelings?
I did everything in my power like no other.
I was tormenting myself, waiting.
It still hurts, that I could not do it.
But now it is better. For I
have one who appreciates and returns
Yet I still feel my heart ache.
I have learned to ignore those feelings.
So I could not win you over,
but I have something to say
to defend myself.
Two words that recovers me from my failure,
I tried.
