I KEEP THINGS CLOSE TO MY HEART

You can call me sad if you want
But that won't change the way I am
With pen and paper I sit in my room
And write about anything I can
Call me a loner if you choose
Because you can count my friends on one hand
Just because I don't do what everyone does
People cannot seem to understand
I don't smoke, drink or take drugs
I don't even go out to the clubs
I'm happy doing what I do best
It's when I wake up in the morning and feel that my head's not a mess
It seems no good
Because no-one understood
I know that I don't speak that much
And all the people say I'm out of touch
But if I try to listen to what they say
I might as well not bother getting out of bed at all that day
I can't deny
There are some people I just love to hate
But I won't lie
Nothing matters because it's in the hands of fate
Emotionally they say that I am gone
Because I keep it all locked inside
Just because I don't show any sorrow
It doesn't mean that I ain't cried
I'm loving my life more than years ago
Loving life like never before
I hope I have many more years left to go
Because all this leaves me wanting more
But no-one understood
I am there
I do care
Just because I never ever show it
You're in the dark
Because I keep things close to my heart
You can call me sad if you want
But that won't change the way I am...

The only way you can go through life and be true to yourself is to be yourself however different that makes you and in fact I think it is something to be embraced cuz it creates diversity.Expressing your care does not need words and the lines you have used in your writing emphasise this....I am there.I do care.
You have expressed yourself honestly and openly therefore have communicated feelings that I'm sure alot of people can identify with well written |

Very well written, we are all different.
and we all show emotions in different
ways, does not mean Don't care
