ROSES AND CHOCOLATES

today the ice cream did not melt
waiting for her at the park

my courtship is roses in bloom and chocolates
i will clean the dirt form your dog
i will do anything
i will take care of you until I'm skeleton

if destiny demanded
i would even treat your children like my own

head rested on the pillow
in our marital bed I'm poetry at its best
exposed to bedtime stories
