Lost Friendship

Topic: FriendshipPoetry

Lets go back to a time,
When I use to be someone,
When we use to be friends,
To a time when we had fun.

We were the best of pals,
Almost brother and sister,
Use to go to the park,
And we would ride the twister.

Yeah we were close as can be,
But I threw it away,
And when I saw it was gone,
Didnt know what to say.

Its when I fell to the ground,
And took hold of my heart,
Thats when I looked to the sky,
Didnt know where to start.

Didnt know what to do,
Cause our friendship I broke it,
Its like I broke my heart,
Didnt know how to fix it.

Now we dont even talk,
Cant get a simple hello,
Just wish youd talk to me,
Till I say I have to go.

Yeah, Ill say we were close,
Just like the sun and the moon,
Like all the stars in the sky,
You shine just like they do.

Im just saying I love ya,
Not in that sort of way,
Im just saying Im sorry,
So that we are okay.

This is not just a poem,
Its the truth if you see,
I just want to be your friend,
Just like you were to me.

An honest and very caring write......
Sometimes, we all make mistakes that, looking back, should never have been made,
The most important thing is that we accept them, learn from them, and move on with wisdom and better character.
Thoughtfully written x
