Sunshine Blazing through that pane of glass Hazy, yellow-coloured sunshine But we knew it couldn't last
Smiling faces As we forget about the past Dreaming of happier tomorrows But we knew it couldn't last
All our wrongs we will put right again Nothing will ever be the same If life was only as simple as all of this Tell me, what would we miss? What could we miss?
Sunshine Disappears through the darkened skies We find out about all those secrets All the hatred, bitterness and lies
So we will always remember This month of September But the question they will never ask Is how we knew it couldn't last?

A really good poem; very touching and mysterious in its own sort of way.
But I really am curious as to why it couldn't last, and how you knew it couldn't last. |
