Drips of Ink
Splashes of black ink splattered across each page As I used to begin each write with driven rage
Drops of ink marked each page, their color now red As the writes come from my heart and not my head
Drips of clear ink, spot each page as I place remain thoughts between each cover Organizing the final writes to be published before I hand my pen to another

Interesting thoughts in the evolution of a poet. (Or is it regression? Who knows ... ). As for me, they'll have to pry the pen from my cold dead hand. I shall be writing far into the winter of my days and I'm sure I'll be penning something the day I die. If someone chooses to pick it up and continue on ...so be it. :) Great post, my friend. Well scripted and intriguing.
