How to be heartbroken

Listen to me and take heed,
I hope you learn from this advice,
It's just a little warning concerning the affairs of the heart,
It is always better to be heartbroken right from the very start,
That way it may stop you from totally falling apart.

You will still cry when the curtain falls,
But the pain will not be so raw,
You'll have the knowledge that we've all been there before,

It may not be their fault
They don't want you to hurt,
Its just they're not strong enough to leave their comfy little world,

They may kiss you once,
They may even kiss you twice,
But its when they say goodbye,
That'll crush you inside,

So it's ok to breakdown when a love affair ends,
Just take comfort;
That you tried,
My friend.
