"Ring, ring!" the phone zings
Oh joy,
Look who its not.
Annoyance swelters inside,
"Call me! Call me!" I scream
But there goes another ring,
another evaded opportunity
Carpe Diem!
Sieze the Day!
Man up the guts to give me a ring
Because i'm done trying,
I deserve better than some guy
Who's too busy to give me a ring.

oh my ... the familiarity of this is almost too much for
me to bear. In very few words you've summed up a
perfect emotion. That last two lines are full of wisdom.

| This poem reminds me of a guy I used to know. I really like it. It's short and to the point. I can feel your annoyance in this poem, and it's always good when someone reads a poem and feels the emotion the writer puts into it. Please keep writing. |
