To the Soldiers

Contributed by tjmontanagirl on Monday, 26th April 2010 @ 11:08:41 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

They go to fight
They fight to win
With pride and devotion they can't wait to get in
That thing they call war
So important
Yet so agonizing
Waiting to fight for thier country
Causing an uprising
Some of them leave forever
and others return one day
To reflect in the proud they've done thier country
Knowing they can stay
Thier names are soldiers
The brave who fight till death
The people who are strong enough to get up each morning knowing they could take thier last breath
So send them thanks each morning when you go out to jump in your hot sports car
Because without them
You wouldnt be who you are
Waking up each morning in that precious place we call the United States
Knowing that you've go the privalege to be whoever you want to be
The land of the free
and the home of the brave
Is how were gunna stay
As long as we promise to support our troops in everyway.
GOD BLESS!!

Very touching tribute to our soldiers. My son is retired from the military and his father before him. I can certainly relate.
god bless our soldiers and god bless you for this tribute.
huggs, blessings,
emy

I served proudly, and wish I could go in my old age
to replace some young man still full of life and promise.
I am almost 60 and I wrote the President of The United States
offering him my services but he respectfully declined.
My heart is with these brave men and women every minute
of the day. When your loved one gets home, tell him, even in our
old age, a former soldier always salutes his brothers in arms
and respects them for their service, whether active duty,
or retired. It's a proud brotherhood that no one, but one who
served can ever understand. GOD BLESS the USA and our troops.
When coming back from Vietnam hippies spit in our face and called us baby killers. Thank God that generation has expired and a new generation of responsible level headed youth such as yourself has replaced them.
Blessings,
Rob
