I put on my jacket as I head outside
I flip on my hood for the long, windy ride.
The winds blowing fierce, like it wants me to go,
I cover my face from the bypassing snow.
I sneeze and I cough as I slip on the ice,
Imagining fire; it seems oh, quite nice.
As Im looking forward, the sun disappears,
I sniffle and blink as the starlight shows clear.
The clouds start to part, with the moon in between,
I notice the nights not as bad as it seems.
I turn to the sky, and I see it quite clear.
I see its new message; Winter draws near.
