Once upon a cluttered desk, there lies the manual-- the only object that rests in eternal sleep. Breaking its seal would cast an evil spell. Learning would cease to exist. Teaching would be no more-- nothing would be allowed to be explored. Students would dread each day, the school would be in disarray. Students would become conforming androids, unable to be analyzed by Freud. Therefore, the manual must stay closed; teaching must not be dispensed like a dose.

Haven't teachers always used some type of manual? I always thought they were called books.
Nicely stated. Tell them it's going to collect dust... or perhaps it will "accidentally" get lost.

Well said. I've always been skeptical of proven
methods. Humans are such complex creatures,
ever evolving. It's been this way for centuries. Our
minds don't want conformity. They demand creativity
and individual expression. And free spirits need free
thinking- not a manual. Wonderfully expressed. :)

I loved it! It caused me to chuckle. Applaud your dedication to your trade and the students. America needs more teachers like you. |
