One Small Kiss

Contributed by Nevilleconnie on Wednesday, 28th April 2010 @ 03:19:48 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I felt his kiss upon my cheek.
How magical it felt.
Such an innocent kiss,
Never would I have thought,
It could make me feel such passion.
Now I know it matters not how small the kiss,
Rather the man who delivers it.
My breathing is choppy.
And I feel like Im surely melting.
I shyly dare a glance at him.
Im hoping for another kiss.
No matter how small or brief.
He smiles a sweet smile.
And I feel the tingles start.
He touches his thumb to the cheek he kissed.
And amazingly it feels just as good.
Now I know, it matters not the part of his flesh that touches me,
Just as long as its his flesh.
He looks at me shyly and stutters out words.
Now I know, it maters not, the way that words are spoke,
As long as its his voice that I am hearing.
He tells me he loves me, in the most awkward way.
Now I know it matters not, the way someone confesses love.
As long as its him, who is telling me he loves me.

Your blossoming Infatuation
comes through loud and clear
in well chosen words,
full of emotion, and desire.
Very well done!
Blessings,
Rob

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
