Killing Blow

Contributed by JakerBaker88 on Friday, 30th April 2010 @ 09:13:57 AM in AEST
Topic: poets

To pierce the matter,
My pen is my dagger;
I use it to stab you with words
To leave you wounded,
Unable to recover ------
Forever robbed of life.

I think everyone has a reason why they write poetry, a song or even a book .... for me it's an outlet My mind gets so cluttered with things that if I don't write about them my brain might explode.... at least it feels that way.
I always told my daughter, "Words are powerful and if you have a good vocabulary the best way to get back at someone is to say what you have to say and as you're walking away, you left them scratching their head trying to figure out if they been insulted or complemented .....then you accomplished what you set out to do"
What ever your reason is to write ....I figure if you got someone to think ... then you accomplished what you set out to do. This revealed a lot about you.... so I guess you got me to think .... now I gotta rest my brain...lol Very succinct and to the point ...........!
