Waiting through this test
To prove this is love
Love with a beautiful woman
As delicate as a dove
Waiting for the truth
Behind her heart
Feelings so intense
Right from the start.
Holding back out fire
Of our deepest needs
Enduring the pain of time
To prevent evil deeds
Endless waiting
Painful desire
Still my love soars
Now even higher.
I am older than you
And so I shall die first
Please come to me
Before I expect the worst.

Great poem, full of intense anticipation. Very romantic. Waiting is indeed hard but it does pay off in the long run!
