I wonder now what I should write
tommorrow's coming soon
perhaps about how life is like
the ever waning moon
no that would be depressing
there's good things here and there
what moves me now is sadness though
so sadness should be fair
but I don't want to hurt them
they treated me so kind
but their love was not the salve
to heal this blackened mind
perhaps if I could dissappear
and never had I been
I've tried that prayer so many times
so I wont try again
it's hard to leave the reason
for what I'm doing now
it's just perpetual sadness
that's chained me to the ground
I wanted to be happy
I tried to break the chains
but chains kept coming back again
like how the moon does wane
is there nothing that can free me
is there nothing that can save
in that case ill write nothing
put nothing on my grave

| Excellent portrayal of the mind as it does sift. I love the ending, the last stanza really reels the emotion in & brings it home. Well done. elle :) |
