I thought my life was over
Still hardly convinced its not
And what it all comes down to
Is youre about all Ive got
Youve got me holding on
Youve got me clinging close
Youve got me feeling strong
When Im barely on my toes
I was at a deadlock
I very nearly still am
But you have got me round the clock
Feeling, maybe I can
Maybe I can do this
Maybe its not too late
Maybe Ill get through this
Maybe Ill just stay
Stay and see what happens
And try to enjoy the ride
But, baby, just keep on guiding
Cause Im too drunk to drive
And were moving on.

many images came to mind reading this poem, my first instinct was to say dont put anyone on a pedestal 'cause the falls a long way down, then i was worried for you, then at the end i broke into laughter, thinking it was so adorable, sorry im long winded tonight, excellent write,
