If I could write a poem

Contributed by unknownlegend on Monday, 3rd May 2010 @ 04:42:35 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

If I could write a poem,
use all the words I knew
It would be oh so long,
imagine how it grew
The words would be oh so sweet
and strike at your hearts chord
your mind ... it would be mesmerized
or maybe just plain bored
I'd try to make it pretty .....
have all the words to rhyme
it would take all my wit ....
and surely all my time.
Would I ever finish ....
to give this poem to you
or would I ramble on and on ....
before I'd gotten through?
To choose the perfect words,
I may think and ponder
what I really want to say ....
you may even wonder
A million verses I could write,
from all these words to choose
or maybe stop it at one line
and just say "I love you"

If i could reply
to this lovlely write,
it would take me at least
until late at night

for i would list all the words
that i forgot to use
in my previous poems
that you could amuse

then i would continue about
the words l love you
for they are so small
yet so very true.

you wrote a good poem
this you should know
i shall stop my rambling
for now i will go
