I used to think God loved me
But I was wrong in every way
And when he moved back in
I didnt know what I was to say
Was I to pretend?
Like what happened was never there
Or was I to kick and scream
And pull out my hair
Was I to smile and laugh?
Like it didnt hurt me so very much?
Cuz every time I look at you
I feel your awful touch
I cant believe
You did this to me
What was I
Supposed to see?
Because every time
I closed my eyes
All I saw were
All your lies
You told me you loved me
You told me you cared
But you turned around and hurt me
As if you werent really there
Its not easy for a girl
Who feels so truly alone inside
When all she wants to do
Is go to the ocean and stand by the tide
Should she tell someone?
Or should she suffer all alone?
I guess if she never tells
She will always be on her own
