You are like an angel
With a broken wing
When you fell
I knew that it would sting
I know that if I caught you
It wouldnt hurt so much
But I couldnt bear to feel the pain
Id have if we touch
So you fell to ground
As I watched in shock
I cant love you anymore
Because to your heart, the path is blocked
Youve hurt me once before
And thats all the pain I need
Now as you fall
I see Im in the lead
Now that youre gone
I see that Im free
I can be who I want
Im free to be me
You were always there
With chains around my feet
Now that youre gone
My life is nice and neat
Later if you come back
On a better day
And want to take me back
Youll see that youre too late
