Are we not like potpourri?
made up of mixed emotions,
odds and ends of you and me
a blend of loves sweet potions.
Like spring with it's amenities
so graceful and demure, you
touched the very heart of me
forever to endure.
You and i so much apart of
all we do and see, my heart
it overflows with your angelic
chemistry.
Are we not like potpourri?
once scattered now entwiined,
of that which love can only be
when two hearts are aligned.
Somewhat like the stars above
that glow at night when there
in love, there beauty for the
world to see are they to not,
like potpourri? . . .
