I will want what I want
I will be who I want to be
You will never know the pain
When you said Id never be free

Now you have my heart
But its shattering as you walk
Now I know you dont have action
Youre just a lot of talk

So now Im pushing and pulling
In the small heart you put me in
But as I tire out
I know Ill never win

So Ill sit here and wait
For you to set me free
Oh it would be much easier
If I could find the key

But here I still wait
Knowing it will take long
I guess Ill be like a bird
And sing a pretty song

I wont be like a caged bird
And I wont let you get to me
Because I will always know
Someday I will be free
