THERE ARE SOME CHANGES AROUND OUR HOME,
IT STARTED TODAY IN MINE AND YOUR ROOM,
FIRST I CHANGED THE LINENS ON OUR BED,
TOOK THE PICTURES OF US OFF THE WALL,
REPLACED THEM WITH PRINTS THE COLORS OF FALL,
WHAT WE SHARED TOGETHER WAS SATIN AND LACE,
BEAUTIFUL PLAID HAVE NOW TAKEN THEIR PLACE.
I REMEMBERED THE TIMES YOU MADE LOVE TO ME,
IN THIS SAME ROOM OVER LOOKING THE SEA.
OPENING YOUR CLOSET IT LOOKED SO BARE,
SO I WENT SHOPPING FOR ME NEW CLOTHES
GAVE AWAY MY OLD ONES SO OTHERS COULD SHARE,
THE CHANGES WITH US NOW EVERYONE KNOWS.
TO THE NEXT ITEM IN MY GETTING OVER YOU,
OUT IN THE GARAGE SITS SOMETHING BRAND NEW.
THE COLOR IS BRIGHT RED I NOW DRIVE AROUND,
BUT THE BEST PART, HONEY, IS THE TOP LETS DOWN.
YOU JUST GO ON WITH YOUR NEW LIFE
I'M REALLY ENJOYING NOT BEING YOUR WIFE.
MAKE THE ALIMONY CHECK NOT LATE EVEN A DAY,
ACTUALLY I AM LOVING OUR LIFE THIS WAY.
