Insomnia

Contributed by suspicious_mind on Tuesday, 11th May 2010 @ 07:13:14 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

When you're insomniac, you see the world differently from how usual people do. The colors are pale. Don't seem to be real, rather like you would roam around in an antiquated photo.
You always walk in past, always in the bygone second. You try to reach the now, the moment you are supposed to live, but the presence is constantly one step in front of you.
Things don't happen , they will happen. You donate apathy to the world and gain insignificance. Sometimes you become the third person. You watch yourself strolling by, observe the madness crawling up your back and infesting your mind. A silent witness, that's what you are. Helpless, unable to intervene. Your doom, and to the same time your bitterly sarcastic amusement.

This really struck me... I've felt this time and again. Beautiful expression.

Wonderfully imaginative description of the Insomniac experience. It is similar to a "trip" that you have when you use psychedelic drugs in the sense that you'd have to experience to describe it. Well written and I loved the layout.
