I CAN

I can come courageously up to where You are,
Because You came courteously considerately down to where I am,

Therefore, I enter into Your gates with thanksgiving, and into Your courts with praise, coming before Your presence with joy and my hands raised,

Blessing and praising the glory and power of Your name with my every breath, redeemed and reclaimed from the jaws of death-

I can come courageously up to where You are,
Because You came courteously considerately down to where I am,

So, I come boldly unto the throne of Your grace,
Obtaining mercy and finding grace to help in the time of need,
Knowing in my heart that You will send the answer with God Speed,

Destroying the works of my every enemy,
While filling my coffers with Your eternal plenty-

I can come courageously up to where You are,
Because You came courteously considerately down to where I am,

In humility, therefore, I humble myself at Your nail scarred feet,
Surrounded by the host of heaven, never again to be in fear or suffer defeat,

Given power to tread on the serpent and scorpions head,
Redeemed and reclaimed from among the living dead-
