Everything's All Right

Contributed by Arwen on Monday, 14th April 2003 @ 08:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

He gives me butterflies when he glances my way,
He's made everything all right...
Made me forget past mistakes.
His tender looks, the gentle way
He pulls me into his embrace
Makes everything all right.

A smile just seems to appear out of nowhere
When he walks into the room,
When he says my name...
When he phones in the witchhour
Avoiding sleep just to speak to me.
My heart grows happier hearing his voice.

Everyday from now on is beautiful.
His eyes reflect care and warmth
And his arms offer a haven,
When I'm sad...his concern makes it all better,
It's heartwarming somehow to see
How hard he tries...
To bring back my sunshine.

Nothing can touch me, no-one can phase me out,
He's here...
He's mine and I'm his
In every single way that counts.

I'm not sure where all this is going...
But I suspect that I might
Give him a chance.
And my hope continues to grow
With every passing day.
