QUIET CONTEMPLATIONS

Contributed by lovingcritters on Friday, 21st May 2010 @ 02:14:31 PM in AEST
Topic: Nostalgic

n'er look back, perhaps a tiny view softly
reviewing no pain, a happy heart's autopsy
feelings reign, conspectus, inspection,
sight-seeing heart strings for sad deafen

pondering, engrossed in beauty's bond
wondrously colliding with rainbows beyond.
flitting across my open heart's view
cuddling a new born close to renew

a small touch, a tiny hug too soon gone,
beauteous dreams deepened predawn
a deep breath of affection, appreciation
breathless seconds of good fortune.

a heart wide open to absorb goodness
deflect and try to forget all badness.
curiosity filled with hopeful expectation
good portion of life could still happen

knowingly, and deliberately loving souls
enhancing their joys with poetic scrolls
'tis enough for me, generous, not greedy
hurtful to no one ever, my legacy

Created with my partner
"Melancholy"

"A day spent without the sight or sound of beauty,
the contemplation of mystery, or the search of truth
or perfection is a poverty-stricken day; and a succession
of such days is fatal to human life."
~Lewis Mumford~

Consue, this is wonderfully heart warming, though I
sense a sadness in between the lines. And I know
how this feels. It can be bittersweet. The pensiveness
of contemplation can bring wondrous emotions, but
at the same time, a certain amount of regret washes
over us and we suddenly find ourselves beside our
dear friend, melancholy. This was so very well written
and extremely enjoyable. You have an immense heart,
my dear friend. I do so enjoy your writes.

all the best, and lots of hugs
~ M
