Seems the ravages of time
Have taken their toll
To a life once sublime
Causing havoc with soul
Days that always bright
Seem to have disappeared
With pain through the night
The days ahead only feared
And a once bright outlook
Seems to be all but gone
And in my own little nook
I can only try to carry on
The body slowly giving in
The mind, seems lost track
Patience sometimes slime
As the mind wonders back
All of the many good times
These now thoughts of past
And of the pleasant chimes
It seems not meant to last
Ah! But life must go on
Though much harder to bare
A straight line not drawn
Life! I now handle with care
Lifes pains I can handle
I plan to put up a fight
And like a lost sandal
Ill keep the pain and hurt
hidden from sight
