Do you not know?

I discovered love while in your presence,
I learnt how to love and let others love me.
But now you try yo take this from me,
Rip it away like a security blanket from a babe.
You scorn me by leaving,
letting me believe your half truths and empty hope.

Why do to me what was done to you?
Why do you take it away?
All the while knowing it will not help but only torture us more.

Do you not know that we want the same thing ?
That together we can heal each other.
We can join together and show those ancient faces from our past -
we succeeded where they failed,
we rebuilt and overcame!

But no.
You cannot.

Do you not know that I love you beyond belief?
That I would lead my paths behind yours,
so that I can stop you from falling and suffer for you myself.
Do you not know that you are my thoughts, my worries, my cares, my loves.
I had been granted a wonderful gift,
full of love and understanding ,
from two precious people.
Do you know?

But no.
You cannot.

Do you know that even though you hurt me,
I remain true, in the hopes that you will see.
That should I ever leave,
my heart shall belong to thee.

But no.
You cannot.
