"Captive"

Today he cursed you out and then walked out
However you called him "your man" and follow him

He left you with the kids whom he said he regretted having
And you cooked him dinner that same night

He didnt buy you anything for your birthday
But you did for his

He broke your arm over a month ago
Instead of breaking his, you remain stuck to it

You have given him all the tenderness a wife is to give
Yet he has given you nothing in return but scars physically and emotionally

You said your were leaving him 5 times
And 5 times you didn't move a muscle

He cheated on you several times and continues to do it
But you still say you love him

The truth is that he doesnt even remotely love you
But maybe the black eyes he gives you prevents you from seeing that

You're held a captive to man who beats you instead of protecting you
You're held a captive in your world of love; stay there, if you want.
