The Poems I see here

Contributed by unknownlegend on Thursday, 10th June 2010 @ 06:08:39 AM in AEST
Topic: poets

There are so many poems, that are written here
I read more as of late, to their hearts what is dear
some's soul purpose to down and berate
some are meant to just loathe or hate
few see the beauty in nature's grand fare
and some speak of love's hurt, wear and tear
In some I see dreams and I can see bliss
then are the one's of who they will miss
sadness in those of death and of dying
then there are those of loss and of crying
a day seldom passes of those feeling pain
all hope seems abandon in love's last refrain
I wish I could see in some of these minds
from where they do write, all of those lines
some seem held captive and others seem free,
in those poems of darkness and others of glee
but, then i turn my thought to within
do they look at me and see all my sins.
will they ever know, why I write this way
do they understand what I'm trying to say?
I guess we all, have thoughts to pass
our minds all a clutter, have spoken at last

Poetry is so many things and you some a lot of it up here. So many different styles, feelings and thoughts. Isn't it great? Definitely a release for self expression.

I especially liked this part here:

but, then i turn my thought to within
do they look at me and see all my sins.
will they ever know, why I write this way
do they understand what I'm trying to say?

and have pondered upon that myself about me. Some readers may have more insight than others...or perhaps it's just another interpretation from an individual perspective.

I really liked reading this and thank you for an enjoyable read.

Firstly I want to say fantastic write yet again. With each of the poems you write I seem to be more drawn to reading more. I have been on this site since 2001 when I first discovered it. My poems are written from the heart..243 are in the old site section...some I write due to the mood I am in and sometimes its about things that have happened in history during my time on earth and sometimes I just get words popping into my head like someone is telling me i have to get this down on paper and get it out there. So far this is the 2nd poem of yours I have read and I will continue to catch up with others wou have written and leave comments on more.
