A little girl
About five years old
sits in a corner, her clothes in a whirl
Go clean up the streets she was told
No money to spend.
No action figures to bend.
No dolls to tend.
Pleanty of wounds to mend.
Halfway to the other side, death
Sweet, sweet little Beth
Starving, praying, needing, wanting
But still no feeding.
Her bones showing through her skin
So thin
And so, so much pain.

| There are no words for this sadness but I hope that in some way there is action that can be taken and that I won't ignore my part if I can do something, well written for bringing this plight to the fore of our minds can't help feeling so helpless in how to help. |

this are the situations that have driven me to write three songs for children. 'i wish i could help this' but it is sad that me myself, i am needing help.
