~The Sweetest Memories Of All~

Contributed by shelby on Friday, 18th June 2010 @ 01:51:47 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

The sleeping little country side
Nestled aside blue hills.
Where near by the river ran
All the world was still.

Dew drops glistening in the dawn
All across the fields
Loading up Old Yellow
Big fishing trip in the wilds of the hills.

Camping in the mountains,
The sky filled with stars.
Night time serenade
Mountain breeze in the pines.

Horse back riding down the canyon
On a narrow winding trail
Meadows and the Quaking Aspen
Beneath and azure veil.

Laughter ringing into the winds,
No bears are out tonight.
Shadows dancing in the woods
By glow of firelight.

Some of a daughters memories
The sweetest memories of all.
Spring blossoms, summer fishing,
The bright colors of the fall.

The frosty breath of winter
Our house toasty warm.
Sleigh riding behind the truck
Before another winter storm.

Spring again, earth anew,
The smell of freshly turned soil.
That in the months to come
Would grow a garden for one and all.

Oh Celle, this is simply delightful. I was right there with you. Such Sweet and marvelous memories of your father dear. Is there anything in this whole world as fine as being with your Father in nature, 'tis sublime. I remember fly fishing with my father in the big Platte River. I never see "A River Runs through it," that I don't think of him, and his talent with the line!
It's just so good to hear from you again, and your absence hasn't dampened your loveliness with words and rhyme, please write again, I enjoy them so much!
Warm love
consue

Tis sweet indeed.
Sounds like you're a country girl like me.
All these memories are precious like mine of my father.
big huggs, blessings,
emy
