I can't deny my feelings for you
They stayed with me even after I came to
You drove through my heart a lance
Not even giving us a chance
Despite your obvious quitting of me
My heart is too blind, too blind to see
The answers that sit in front of my face
Heedless of the answers, I run after you like in a race
Calling your name, I set a determined and hell-bent pace
You look at me with stinging eyes, more painful than mace
Your look hurts me and yet I continue on
Moved by unseen forces, pushed forward like a pawn
Downcast eyes betray your disgust
"Have I done something to earn your distrust?"
No answer came from your figure, just silence
You confide to me nothing, placing no reliance
I hate you for it and love you all the more
I want you and I need you, so I must implore
Will I be by your side or from a distance adore
