Deression is the dark black night sky. It is the smell of smoke from a car crash. It is the sound of tears hitting a desk. It tastes like burnt meat on a friday night. It looks like the kid you see on the side of the street dressed in all black. It feels like dying when you're not ready to go. Depression rips us apart.

I can so relate to this poem as I suffer from a bout of depression right now. I like the effective similes here. Nice job!

Depression is the inability to determine the truth when it is hidden in lies. Not literally of course. I speak of intrusive thoughts. Learn to recognize and rid yourself of the thoughts you don't want, and you'll be one step closer to being free of depression.
It may always be there if your clinical, but the light will be a little bit brighter.
keep writing.
always, abraham |
