Great Spirit
You drape the sunshine across the shoulders of this man before me
To stand strong in colours that show me the seasons of his heartbeat
His breath,but the wind carried from the soul you've long danced through
Great Spirit
What for,must our eyes meet
I have journeyed far within,taken the red path to find my meaning,reflection
Love has come in shadows,guarded by mistrust and hollow conceptions
You have stood by him in battles and still set him far from where I can touch
Great Spirit
What for,must our days be of us
We can only dream the yellow grass to be where we roam and feel the earth
Under same moon and yet the dance be for one
Always his half night in my evenings ambered birth
Great Spirit
What for,must this river run
Mother Earth holds me as the tears fall from blue velvet
For you will not speak,until I am of clear mind
Cleansed and nurtured,ready to be guided
Great Spirit
What for,must I walk to him blind
It is true,I will listen with my colours ablaze
I am your daughter and carry the pride of long ago
Speak to me of this journey Great Spirit
Please
What for,must I love him so
