To see one morn makes me warm with grace
To see one smile makes me saddened at face
Seeing someone overtaken by pain reminds me I am not alone
Knowing this stranger had caught wave of my life lifts me
Fills me with satisfaction for a single short moment
Seeing someone laugh, dance, and prance in cheerful joy
Brings Envy to my heart for it beats no tune to dance to
Realization quakes. Shakes my spirit and jerks my soul loose
Swallowed by thoughts, bothered and uncomfortable in your presence
Surrounded by your happiness, staring into a life I do not understand
It is your pleasure that is my pain
And in your hurt I find quietness within the unpeaceful me
