ugly inside

Contributed by mixedtape on Thursday, 17th April 2003 @ 12:25:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

darling
you are everything
.U.G.L.Y.
inside of me
the poison & the tears
all the pain that i'm
__LONGING_______
to cut / to carve / to slice
A W A Y
you are the poison
stinging as it slides down throats
the heroin
lost inside my vein
(its irreversable )
i. fell. so. hard.
& broken hearts aren't mended
by scotch tape or
super glue
& i know i should just learn
how to HATE you
but every time the phone rings
with your name on caller ID
my heart
s.kip.s. a b.e.a.t.
even still
your hand + my hand =
bliss
this arthimetic problem could
N E V E R
add up
my paper's wearing thin from
erasers pressed down hard
trying to figure out
what numbers to add
to make you+me=<3
so ***** POINTLESS, i know
but every time our eyes connect
i'm reminded
of little IM boxes & text messages
of this digital teenage life
of hand-in-hand happiness
of "hello beautiful" grins
[you always were the most
beautiful person i know]
empty promises next to empty cuts
swearing that i'm OVER you
over the heartbreak & pain
always keeping in mind
you NEVER loved me
never cared ; never will
[or do i just tell myself that?]
this pain runs deep
my heart has been left weak
but as much as i want to
i just can't bare to
hate you.

I just love the style you used to write this! I've been in a similar situation, and my best advice is to give it time. Time heals all wounds, as cliche as that is. Blessed be,
