This Maze

Contributed by BennettP on Wednesday, 21st July 2010 @ 11:37:26 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I've made up a lot of dreams
over the course of my life, my days.
I will never walk through them
like a fog, a mist, a haze
or put them behind me
like a single childhood phase
Because my dreams are real
everyday they build a maze
with walls made of steel and hundreds of pathways
every pathway shows a dream
over the course of my life, my days.
My dreams are strong and real
so they'll be here always
This maze, i call my life
because of its vexing ways
It has its ups and downs,
its dead ends and wrong ways
But everyday is an adventure
leaving me breathless, but amazed.

These dead ends are reasons why
I should just five up and die
They'll try to make me cry
about these deadends, these wrongways

These strong walls are strong will
that never leave me standing still,
keep me trying to fulfill
my dreams, my life,
this maze.

This was an enjoyable poem. Keep improving and writing a lot, and you may go a long way.
