All my friends are just reminders
Of how alone
I really am.

Reminding me to find my hands
when they go out on their own.
Reminding me of introspection
when Ive realized what theyve done.

Reminding me that they dont like
The things I do or the books I read.
Reminding me that they dont understand
The things I do or the music I play.
Reminding me that they dont care about
The things I do or the trials Ive had.
Reminding me that they arent there-
When I am.

How do you talk to someone
Whose focus is the mirror?
Who criticizes all your normals?
Who cant remember left from right
and cant understand simple emotions?

Well, youre my friend, yes I know,
But what day was I born?
Whats my favorite song to play?
My favorite team to watch?-

You can stop guessing now.

You remind me that a friend
is what you call a stranger on the street.
Its that person you walk by
While you go into a bar
or market
or store.

A friend is someone who laughs
when you fail a test or when your father dies.
A friend is someone who complains
when you finally attain something better.
A friend is someone who doesnt realize
how hypocritical they sound.

Thanks to all the friends out there
Who made me wish I was stronger.
Thanks to all the friends
Who made me wish I looked better.
Thanks to all the friends
Who told me I was soft.
Thanks to all the friends
Who told me I am wrong.
Thanks to all the friends
Who told me who I am.

Because now I have confidence.
Now girls throw themselves at me.
Now I havent cried in years.
Now I have a 4.0 average.
Now I know what I want to be.

Thank you, for helping me.
